There are so many lovely MAC Themes available, but i have not found one that actually changes the colour of the copy-paste animation window

Here is a shell32.dll to do just that.

TO USE:

1: Take Ownership of: windows\system32\shell32.dll


2: Rename shell32.dll -> shell32.dll.original


3: Paste My shell32.dll into windows\system32\


4: Reboot

5: Copy Or Paste Something!!

But... are you sure that is shell32.dll that changes the gradient color?
..for vista sp0 is the Normal.variant

is this file for sp0 or sp1?
..becouse I see no changes from the original..

yeah, look at the screenshot!! i made that myself and i am currently using it - maybe you are right i should change the title so people now it is only for SP0!!

I didn't know that is also possible to change the gradient from shell32.

UIFILE 42

look for:

background="Gradient

First number is transparency, red, green, blue

original is:

background="Gradient(argb(255,9,74,116),argb(255,32,121,146),argb(255,5,111,90),3)"

Is that ok?

I don't know if your file works on sp1 (but I don't think), but this gradient method, contrary to the hex-editing of the msstyles, works ;)

this file is not for sp1, i now it works on sp0 as i am using it now

i would have thought it would be roughly the same method for sp1
